Egypt's Geographically Challenged President

Over the weekend, newly elected Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi vowed to make Jerusalem the new capital of Egypt. For those geographically challenged, that's in Israel, folks. Mursi ran as the choice of the Muslim Brotherhood, where one of the head clerics Safwat Hagazy was video-ed at a campaign rally:

“Our capital shall not be Cairo, Mecca or Medina. It shall be Jerusalem with God’s will. Our chants shall be: ‘millions of martyrs will march towards Jerusalem’,” prominent cleric Safwat Hagazy said, according to the video aired by Egypt’s religious Annas TV on Tuesday.

Naturally our Golfer In Chief called Mursi on Sunday to congratulate him over the weekend.

If there has ever been a time to support Israel, long a reliable and honest ally to the United States, now would be the time. But our current policy driven from the White House agenda is completely driven against any sort of security for the Jewish nation.

I've never quite understood how choosing the side of the Islamists and Caliphate establishment parties was intended to gain us any favor in the international community; the only support we'd get from them is a US sponsored UN resolution pledging mass suicide. I'm sure they'd be all for it
